HyTech Racing is a student organization that designs and builds an open wheel, electric powered racecar to compete in both the Formula Hybrid and Formula SAE Electric competitions.
Chassis Team Lead (January 2016 - December 2016)
Leadership roles included delegating responsibilities to 6 sub-team members.
Designed 2017 chassis optimized for low weight and low center of gravity.
Designed and waterjet cut welding jig to accurately assembly profile cut chassis tubing.
Performed Quasi-static Impact Attenuator testing using press to generate load vs. displacement curve to find the amount of energy absorbed, along with average and peak deceleration.
Chassis Team Member (August 2015 - January 2016)
Designed chassis revisions in Solidworks to alter side impact structure and increase structural support for the High Voltage Box. Responsible for layout and design of mounting points for subassemblies such as the Low Voltage Box and motor controller.
